Graveside services for Robert (Bob) Nathaniel Rather III, 58, of Woodlawn, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Algoma Cemetery-North. The Rev. Ron Segers will officiate. Arrangements are by Morgan Funeral Home.
Mr. Rather died at 1:53 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2002, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Marshall to Robert N. Rather Jr. and Margie Hamilton Rather. He lived in the Marshall area all his life and at the time of his death was employed by Baker Reels of Jefferson, where he had worked for 15 years. Bob was an avid sportsman, a loving
father and grandfather, and loved life and family.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years; his daughters; two grandsons; two brothers; his parents; as well as several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
