moved back to Marshall in 1976 to help Mom in her store Willie Long Shop. Had lived in Grand Prairie, Arlington, TX area and worked at LTV Aerospace there. Mom moved me to my own store in 1985, Willie Long Bridals, so I could "make a living on my own." Will never be as successful as she was.....

graduated from All Saints' Episcopal School in 1964 in Vicksburg, MS. Attended Freshman year college at SMU Dallas, then University of TX at Arlington after getting married in 1965. Graduated there with Associate Degree in 1967. Took fantastic beginning computer course at TSTC in 1989. This has led me to be able to check emails and now Facebook page. Am still totally intimidated by Excel.

Being in business in Marshall, I've had the opportunity to visit and "keep up with" so many of our class who live in Marshall and the surrounding areas -- too many to name...

My mother loved cruises, so the week after my son graduated from high school (yes, MHS) and left for the Army, Mother and several of her friends and I went on my first cruise. As we took off from Shreveport to Miami early that morning, Mother looked at me and said, "Let's go spend your inheritance." I've never had a more wonderful trip.

Incidentally, after we got into the air, Mother's best friend Daisy Harter, hailed the flight attendant and ordered Jack Daniels. She said to me, "Let me introduce you to the Golden Glow." We had such fun.

I miss those times.
