During an extremely cold halftime show, I twirled my baton and with frozen fingers it went flying to the back of the band. Band members eyes were huge...they said they were not sure what I would do. I guess in the spirit of "the show must go on", I tweeted and pointed with my finger the direction the band was to go! Fortunately, the twirlers were located on the very back row, Sandra Lawrence picked it up and smoothly handed it back to me when we passed each other. Mr. Hammett (band director) was surprised he said one minute I lost the baton and the next I had it back and he never saw the exchange....he said we were very slick!

Would have liked to become a Paleontologist or Petroleum Geologist. Now practice paleontology for fun and teach all of the grandchildren about science.
